American Tobacco Campus

The American Tobacco Campus features shops, restaurants, cafes and more in a historic part of downtown Durham. Located in a converted warehouse, the ATC combines history with pleasure.

The Historic American Tobacco Historic District is a tribute to the legacy of Washington Duke’s entrepreneurship with the American Tobacco Company, which at one time was the biggest tobacco company in the world and was one of the first twelve companies included in the Dow Jones Industrial Average in 1896.

Durham Bulls Athletic Park

The Durham Bulls Athletic Park is the home of the Durham Bulls, the source of how Durham got its name Bull City.

 

FUN FACT

Most of the filming was done at the first Durham Athletic Park for the famous the 1988 film Bull Durham, featuring the Bulls, Kevin Costner, Tim Robbins, and Susan Sarandon.

Museum of Durham History

This museum has information all about Durham's history, with a new History Hub with rotating exhibits.

The museum started as an idea in 2004 when Durham's Cultural Master Plan named a history museum a priority for the city.

Carolina Theatre
